16th Street Mall

16th Street Mall is located in downtown Denver, situated between Broadway and Wynkoop. This is a street transit 1-mile long mall, covering 16 blocks, which was built in 1982 by the same architect who built the Louvre Pyramid. Initially it was a 13-block mall, but has expanded since then. There are 28 sidewalk cafes in this open-air mall along with other 10 restaurants and eateries. 16th Street Mall is not a usual mall, which means that it does not have anchor stores or a food court, but offers a wide range of merchandise and prices. However, some shops and restaurants may prove to be a little bit pricey for some people with lower incomes. Most shoppers can be found at one end of the mall, called Pavilions on Welton, but the other end contains Writer's Square and Tattered Cover. 16th Street Mall is located in downtown Denver, situated between Broadway and Wynkoop. The design of the mall is also interesting. From above it can be easily seen that the 400,000 pieces of granite imitate the skin of a Western Diamondback rattlesnake. There are a lots of trees and greenery; the mall is generally very ecologically-friendly. 16th Street Mall is located in downtown Denver, situated between Broadway and Wynkoop.
